We are wired for connection
Connection to others is woven into who we are as human beings. So when life gets heavy, it makes sense that healing often happens the same way we hurt: in relationship, not in isolation.
Reaching out isn't weakness. It takes real courage to say "I need support," and that courage is often where the shift begins.
People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons, and you don't need a crisis to deserve support.
Maybe you're carrying stress that's starting to spill into everything else. Maybe a relationship feels stuck, or a familiar sadness keeps showing up uninvited. Maybe you've been the strong one for so long you've forgotten what it's like to be held by someone else's attention for an hour.
Whatever brought you here; grief, anxiety, burnout, a big transition, or just the sense that something needs to shift , you don't have to figure it out alone. Counselling offers a genuine relationship: someone steady, present, and fully in your corner, where healing has room to happen.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply reach out.
13+ years of NHS therapeutic experience, private practice and charity sector
I have a background in speech and languge therapy with children with autism, this gave me a profound understanding that real change begins when someone feels truly seen and met in their world. During Covid, my experience deepened while leading an NHS Counselling Service for frontline workers navigating significant anxiety, grief and trauma in real time.
These experiences shape my practice today; a specialism in neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism), anxiety, bereavement and trauma (PTSD, CPTSD), held with both clinical grounding and genuine warmth.

Therapy

I work with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and trauma.
My approach is relational and integrative. This means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need, rather than expecting one approach to fit everyone.
EMDR

EMDR can help you process experiences that continue to affect you emotionally, physically or psychologically.
I work with PTSD and single-incident trauma such as sexual assault, or more repeated trauma such as domestic violence, as well as childhood trauma such as sexual, physical or psychological abuse.
Couples

Relationships can become caught in patterns that are difficult to change, particularly when there is hurt, fear, disconnection or a loss of trust.
I use a trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach alongside my training in Imago to help couples understand what is happening between them and find new ways of relating.
Supervision

I offer clinical supervision to trainee and qualified therapists as well as managers, clinical leads and peers looking for reflective practice groups. Supervision is adaptable and can be delivered individually or in groups, in person or online, depending on need. Support is available for BACP accreditation applications.

You're more resilient than you think
I regularly hear from clients who feel they aren't resilient, that they aren't strong enough to cope with what they are going through. In my experience, this usually isn't the case. We can be in so much pain from an experience that has floored us, that we are unable to connect to our resilience until the pain lessens. Compassionate counselling can be useful here to reduce suffering and connect to your existing inner strength.
Sometimes, an experience is so overwhelming, our existing resilience isn't enough and we develop anxiety or depression as a consequence. Pyschotherapy can be useful here, as an opportunity to build more resilience, and to create internal answers and capacity to navigate the challenges that life brings.
